Advocacy, Policy, Payment and YOU!
is postponed until April 23, 2021 to align with social distancing guidelines

Health care is experiencing a fast paced whirlwind of change. We are trying to keep up with all the changes while trying our best to help our patients. Change is hitting the profession on many fronts and at every level. Payor policy, scope of practice, federal and state laws, and changes in the clinical practice are the issue areas that can either hold us back or propel us to the top of our license. We have some wins, like payer policy changes supporting physical therapy, the fall Payer Summit: Partnering in Payment and Policy, and the passage of the Disability Parking Permit legislation. A few of the areas where we need to continue our advocacy efforts are eroding payment, administrative burden, and challenges to our scope of practice.  This is an event where you matter most!

This event creates a time and place to become informed on the issues impacting our profession and to dialogue with MNPTA advocacy leaders regarding payment, payer policy, legislative activity, and chapter initiatives.  Your input, views and opinions will assist in future activities of MNPTA.

The session will be organized around topic tables with advocacy experts hosting each table where issues are presented, and dialogue will take place. A short synopsis of the discussion will be written up for advocacy leaders to channel your feedback, input, and ideas into future advocacy efforts.

Topic Tables:

·         Motions for the 2020 House of Delegates

·         State Government Affairs Issues

·         Federal Government Affairs Issues

·         Payment – Utilization Management

·         Payment – New Care and Payment Models

Please join us for complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and a free drink while you take part in the important discussions with advocacy leaders and other PT professionals who want to have a voice in the future of our profession.
